DEMAHRIA CLARK'S STORY
Meet Mahri. At just 10 years old, Mahri has already made huge strides in being a helpful part of her community, especially during the COVID-19 outbreak. She’s an aspiring tennis player who is looking to turn pro when she grows up, but she is much more than a gifted young tennis player. Mahri believes that the students of America should all be able to enjoy the benefits of tennis, and created a report on these benefits. After her school listened to her report, the school made tennis their new P.E. sport! Her contributions to her community have also extended beyond sports. Using her art talents, she has created images encouraging us to read, sleep and work hard. Mahri also created images depicting nurses as angels, saving us from the devilish COVID-19 virus. Her art was featured in an article from the Health Workforce Initiative, and UCLA nurses responded with their own pictures, showing their appreciation for Mahri’s encouragement. She has a bright future ahead of her, both as a force to be reckoned with on the pro tour, and a caring soul to those in her community!
